ARTE, gallerie. Giappone, Tokyo: l’apertura di Ceysson & Bénétière

Atteso per il prossimo autunno l’avvio delle attività del nuovo articolato spazio espositivo di Ginza District, il quartiere glamour dello shopping, della moda, del divertimento e dell’arte della metropoli giapponese

Ceysson & Bénétière is opening: a new gallery space in Tokyo in Fall of 2024: after Saint-Étienne, Paris, Lyon, Luxembourg, New York, Geneva, and the Domaine de Panéry near Uzès, Ceysson & Bénétière gallery is opening  its 8th gallery space in Tokyo, its first Asian location. This new 325 m² venue, located on the 8th floor of the Cura Ginza tower in the Ginza district, will be managed by Leslie You, and its design entrusted to the architect and designer Sophie Dries.

ABOUT LESLIE YOU

Graduated from the École du Louvre in contemporary art, Leslie You holds a Master’s degree in Conservation, Management, and Distribution of Artworks. She trained at Mennour and Perrotin before founding her consulting agency, LYAA art advisory, in 2017. She has been collaborating with Ceysson & Bénétière for several years and overseeing the Tokyo implantation project since 2022 alongside Loïc Garrier, the gallery’s director.

ABOUT SOPHIE DRIES

Graduated from ENSA Paris-Malaquais and Aalto University in Helsinki, Sophie Dries is each year in the top 100 AD designers in 2022, as well as the top 100 interior designers in the world by Phaidon and the received the AD & Land Rover Awards in 2022. Active in Paris since 2014 and in Milan since 2017, her Studio specializes in designing private residences, hotels, luxury boutiques, and exhibition scenographies. Sophie Dries also creates limited edition pieces for galleries such as Nilufar in Milan, The Invisible Collection in London, Paris, and New York as well as Giustini/Stagetti in Rome. One of her iconic piece has just been acquired by the Mobilier National in France.
