Dal 1948 a oggi, nessuna vettura ha saputo incarnare il desiderio di libertà con la stessa autenticità di Land Rover Defender: progettata per affrontare ogni tipo di superficie e terreno in tutto il mondo, ha attraversato generazioni reinterpretandosi da veicolo essenziale a fuoristrada esclusivo, pur mantenendo sempre intatto il suo carattere. È da questa evoluzione che nasce City Escape, il programma di personalizzazione a lei dedicato firmato Aznom Automotive: il frutto di una scelta che rappresenta simbolicamente il desiderio di distinguersi ed evadere sia dalle convenzioni che dalla routine della vita urbana. Il primo esemplare di questa serie è stato realizzato coniugando il carattere e la prestanza della versione 90 (equipaggiata con il V8 benzina da 5.0 litri e 525 CV) e l’esclusività in termini di ricercatezza dei materiali. Ogni dettaglio è stato studiato per riflettere l’essenza dello stile del cliente.
TRIBUTO ALLA CURA
L’abitacolo è un tributo alla cura sartoriale che contraddistingue Aznom dal 2006: i sedili, rivestiti con un raffinato incontro tra pelle e Alcantara, sono impreziositi da cuciture a contrasto della linea Aznom Signature Embroidery e dal logo dell’atelier ricamato sui poggiatesta. La medesima cura è stata adottata per il cruscotto, per i pannelli porta, che presentano un nuovo inserto centrale realizzato su misura, per il cielo completamente rivestito in Alcantara e per il pavimento, arricchito da sovratappeti in lana e seta con cuciture a contrasto: tutto contribuisce a rafforzare l’identità one of one di questo allestimento. La caratterizzazione degli interni si estende a particolari della plancia e delle porte, impreziositi dal rivestimento in legno di ebano Makassar che, con i suoi accenti ramati hanno connotato il fil rouge dell’intero allestimento, caratterizzando particolari degli interni che sono stati trattati con una vernice ceramica copper.
CARATTERIZZAZIONE INTERNI FINITURE DEGLI ESTERNI
Le finiture in color rame si ritrovano nei particolari degli esterni come il profilo della griglia frontale superiore, le scritte di denominazione modello, gli inserti del cofano motore, le prese d’aria dei parafanghi anteriori, gli anelli per il traino integrati nel paraurti posteriore, le enormi pinze freno con logo Aznom che fanno capolino tra i cerchi in lega da 22 pollici (dal disegno specifico), e non ultimi i terminali di scarico, che ora assumono una forma quadrata, come i rinnovati fendinebbia anteriori: un netto richiamo al disegno dei gruppi ottici posteriori. Dettagli che esaltano l’estetica e raccontano l’unicità di un allestimento chiamato a fare da capostipite. L’autenticità del progetto trova la propria firma sui coperchi laterali del cruscotto e nel badge applicato sulla portella baule, dove il logo City Escape racconta in un solo sguardo la filosofia del concept: da un lato i grattacieli, dall’altro la montagna. Due mondi opposti che questa Defender 90 sa attraversare con estrema naturalezza.
PARTICOLARI DELL’ALLESTIMENTO
Ogni creazione è frutto di un dialogo profondo con il cliente, in quanto ne riflette le esigenze, i gusti e la personalità, divenendo così il perfetto prolungamento della identità di quest’ultimo. Il costo dell’allestimento presentato è di 29.900,00 euro comprensivo di Iva. Esso include: interni in pelle e Alcantara – Aznom Signature; cruscotto rivestito in pelle; rivestimento cielino e montanti in Alcantara; kit legni interno – Essenza Ebano Makassar; sovratappeti in lana; verniciatura ceramica particolari metallici; cerchi in lega 22”; kit allargamento archi ruota; kit fendinebbia + DRL; kit particolari carrozzeria e pinze freno con colore a campione; inserti cofano su disegno specifico; oppi terminali di scarico quadrati. Come tutte le configurazioni su misura, anche quelle future avranno un valore definito dalle scelte stilistiche, dai materiali e dalle esigenze personali di chi le commissiona.
AZNOM AUTOMOTIVE
Fondata nel 2006 da Marcello Meregalli e Matteo Bertanelli, Aznom è uno studio multidisciplinare di design con sede a Monza. Da allora, l’azienda è attiva nella personalizzazione di automobili di serie e nella creazione di vetture one-off o in serie limitata per privati e società. Each vehicle is built as a One of One configuration and conceived as a unique piece, tailored around the client’s tastes and personality. Since 1948, no vehicle has embodied the desire for freedom with the same authenticity as the Land Rover Defender. Engineered to tackle every type of terrain and surface around the world, it has spanned generations—evolving from a utilitarian vehicle into an exclusive off-roader, while always remaining true to its character. It is from this evolution that City Escape was born: a bespoke customization program by Aznom Automotive, dedicated to the Defender. A symbol of the desire to stand out and break free—from conventions, and from the routine of urban life. The first model in this series was created by blending the power and personality of the Defender 90 version (equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine producing 518 hp) with the exclusivity and sophistication of premium materials. Every detail has been designed to reflect the client’s personal style.
The cabin is a tribute to the tailoring precision that has defined Aznom’s world since 2006. The seats, upholstered in a refined combination of leather and Alcantara, feature contrasting stitching from the Aznom Signature Embroidery line, along with the atelier’s logo embroidered on the headrests. That same level of craftsmanship extends to the dashboard and door panels, which include a custom-made central insert, the roof lining entirely wrapped in Alcantara, and the flooring enriched with wool and silk overmats featuring contrast stitching— all contributing to the strong One of One identity of this build. The interior design also includes elements on the dash and door trims finished in Makassar ebony wood, accented with copper tones that serve as the fil rouge throughout the design. Several interior elements have been adorned with a copper ceramic finish, emphasizing the exclusivity of the execution.
Copper details are also found on the exterior, such as the trim around the upper front grille, model designation badges, hood inserts, front wing air intakes, integrated rear bumper tow rings, the massive Aznom-branded brake calipers peeking through 22” alloy wheels (with a custom design), and finally, the new square exhaust tips—mirroring the shape of the redesigned front fog lights and evoking the design of the rear light clusters. Each of these elements enhances the aesthetic and tells the story of a truly unique configuration—one meant to lead the way. The authenticity of the project is marked by the side dash panels and a custom badge on the tailgate, where the City Escape logo communicates the spirit of the concept at a glance: on one side, skyscrapers; on the other, mountains.
Two opposite worlds that this Defender 90 can cross with ease. Every creation is the result of a deep dialogue with the client, reflecting their needs, tastes, and personality—becoming a seamless extension of their identity. The price of the configuration presented is € 29,900 including VAT. It includes: leather and Alcantara interior – Aznom Signature; leather-wrapped dashboard; alcantara roof lining and pillars; interior wood trim – Makassar Ebony; wool floor mats; ceramic-painted metal trim; 22” alloy wheels; wide-body arch kit; fog light + DRL kit; custom-colored brake calipers and body trim kit; custom-designed hood inserts; twin square exhaust tips. As with all tailor-made configurations, future builds will be valued based on the client’s stylistic choices, materials, and personal requirements.
