Trieste, 12 novembre 2020 – Fincantieri NexTech (già Insis S.p.A.), controllata di Fincantieri e solution provider nei settori dell’informatica e dell’elettronica, ha firmato con Autostrade Tech, società del Gruppo Autostrade per l’Italia (Aspi), e IBM, un accordo pluriennale per l’attivazione, la commercializzazione e la manutenzione congiunta di un sistema di nuova generazione per il monitoraggio e la sicurezza delle infrastrutture autostradali, che entrerà in esercizio sulla rete Aspi alla fine del mese.
L’iniziativa si inserisce nell’ambito delle attività di Aspi, che ha da tempo dato avvio a un progetto finalizzato alla sorveglianza di ponti, viadotti, cavalcavia e gallerie della propria rete. Fincantieri NexTech, che annovera competenze in aree come l’optronica, le telecomunicazioni, l’information technology e la cybersecurity, è stata dunque individuata come partner tecnologico di riferimento per la realizzazione, la messa in esercizio e la manutenzione dell’infrastruttura tecnologica, nonché dei servizi accessori.
Tale piattaforma, basata sull’intelligenza artificiale di IBM, si avvarrà dell’uso di droni, IoT (Internet of Things) e modellazione digitale 3D, per consentire la sorveglianza e il monitoraggio di oltre 4.500 opere presenti sulla rete autostradale, aumentando fortemente l’efficienza e la trasparenza dei processi.
Le intese prevedono inoltre che il sistema sia messo a disposizione anche delle altre concessionarie autostradali a livello europeo e internazionale.
Maggiori dettagli e una presentazione esaustiva del progetto verranno resi noti il 24 novembre nel corso di un evento in remoto dedicato alla stampa, al quale parteciperanno i vertici delle società firmatarie dell’accordo e delle loro controllanti.
Fincantieri: agreement to monitor highway infrastructures. Fincantieri NexTech has built an artificial intelligence-based system with Autostrade Tech and IBM, which will come into operation on the Aspi network within the end of the month – Trieste, November 12, 2020. Fincantieri NexTech, formerly Insis S.p.A., a Fincantieri subsidiary and solution provider in the fields of information technology and electronics, has signed a multi-year agreement with Autostrade Tech, a company of Autostrade per l’Italia Group (Aspi), and IBM for the implementation, sale, and joint maintenance of a new-generation system for the monitoring and safety of highway infrastructures, which will come into operation on the Aspi network within the end of the month.
The initiative falls within the activities carried out by Aspi, which has long launched a project to monitor the bridges, viaducts, overpasses and tunnels of its network some time ago. Fincantieri NexTech, with competences in the fields of optronics, telecommunications, information technology and cybersecurity, has therefore been selected as reference technological partner for the construction, commissioning and maintenance of the technological infrastructure, as well as of the additional services.
This platform will be built on the artificial intelligence by IBM and will operate through drones, IoT (Internet of Things) and 3D digital modeling. It will allow the supervision and monitoring of over 4,500 infrastructures within the highway network, drastically increasing processes efficiency and transparency.
In compliance with the agreements, the system will also be available for other European and international highway authorities.
